Practice information

Intake

In 2007, a legislative change was introduced allowing physiotherapists to bill for two sessions per day. Prior to this, a client could not be treated immediately after an intake. To ensure that we have enough time to treat you, provide advice, or refer you directly, the first contact with a physiotherapist always consists of two sessions. Please note: If you have supplementary insurance that reimburses physiotherapy based on a specific number of sessions, the first contact will count as two sessions.

First Appointment

Please bring the following with you:

  • Referral, if applicable;
  • Any relevant additional medical records;
  • Identification.

Home Treatments

If you are unable to visit the practice, treatment at home is possible. This is only permitted if your referring doctor explicitly mentions it in the referral. Together with you, it will be decided whether and when you can continue your treatments at the practice.

Cancellations

If you are delayed or unable to attend, you must cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, the costs of the reserved time will be charged to you personally, regardless of the reason for cancellation. Cancellations can be made by phone (including by leaving a voicemail) or via email.

Substitutions During Absence

In the event of illness or absence of your therapist, a solution will be discussed with you. For example, a substitute therapist may take over your treatment, or the appointment may be rescheduled.

Interns

Our practice supervises interns from various educational programs. An intern is never the primary therapist in a treatment process but may assist or partially carry out your treatment. You can indicate if you object to the presence of an intern during your treatment.

Prices

The cost of your treatment depends on the type of treatment. The price list for the various types of treatments can be found on our website and is also displayed at our central reception area.

Reimbursements

Not all types of treatments are automatically reimbursed by all health insurers. Depending on your insurance policy, therapy may not be reimbursed, partially reimbursed, or fully reimbursed. You can check your insurance policy for details on the reimbursements applicable to the therapy you are receiving. Any costs not covered by your insurer will be charged to you personally.

Your therapist cannot determine whether you are or have been treated elsewhere. If you inform your therapist about this, they can advise you on whether it may affect your reimbursement.

Privacy

We take your privacy very seriously and always comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can read more about this in our privacy policy, which is available on our website.

Complaints Policy

We strive to provide you with efficient care. If you have a complaint regarding the way you were treated, it is best to first contact the staff member involved. Information on how to proceed further is available at the practice. If you feel your complaint has not been adequately addressed, you can escalate it to the Complaints Desk for Paramedics (www.klachtenloketparamedici.nl).

Client File

We create a patient file at the start of your treatment. Under the WGBO legislation, we are obligated to grant you access to your file upon request. The practice is also required to make changes to your file if requested. Additionally, you may request a copy or destruction of the file at any time.

Quality

We prioritize the quality of care. All our therapists are registered in quality registers. To meet current requirements, our staff regularly participates in training programs to maintain their knowledge and undergoes courses to offer you a wide range of treatment options. Periodic quality audits are also conducted, during which an auditor may review anonymized patient files.

If you object to the anonymous review of your file, please inform your therapist.
